Episode 9: Our Why
Tuesday Feb 02, 2021
Tuesday Feb 02, 2021
I think giving you an explanation and story behind our "why" almost gives our mission more power. We may sound like a couple of hackling hens shooting the "ish" and making a podcast about it...which is totally what our husbands assumed for the first few months! But that isn't all we are. Join us to hear a little bit about what fills our cups and the mission we are taking on. Sure no one asked us, but we wished there was someone we had to remind us that life can be crazy, but rest assure you are not alone.

Episode 8: Self Love
Tuesday Jan 26, 2021
Tuesday Jan 26, 2021
Self Love.
Isn't this a topic we all hear about so much these days?
Listen to us talk about the ways we try and implement self care in our lives as well as how we try and set an example to our kids of it.
We also talk about relationships with others and how they can affect the way you love yourself.
Setting boundaries is key and when you set up a strong foundation for your mind and emotions you are able to support yourself and all those who want to come in.
“Someone else’s opinion of you is none of your business. Let me say that again for the people in the cheap seats.”
― Author Rachel Hollis, Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are so You Can Become Who You Were Meant To Be

Episode 5: Interview with Luis
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Most of us were young parents in a world that felt, and can still feel, impossible.
There were multiple times Luis and I felt the weight of the world on our marriage and questioned if we could overcome it.
Life is hard; adjusting from the single, carefree life to being responsible for another life is no joke.
As you get older, there are constant obstacles and temptations; and learning from them takes time and hard work.
I am so happy that we can now sit back and look at those moments, and laugh about them. At the time, those moments never felt laughable-that’s for sure.
Understanding your partner and giving each other the time of day is key. Friendships can come and go, but marriage and parenthood is forever.
In the early stages of adjusting from one thing to another, you want to hold so tightly to those relationships that you lose sight of what you signed into as a couple.
Now at 31 years old with 3 kids, and 8 years together with my husband, I can say, “I wish I knew then what I know now!”
